Our First Flip House: Columbus, Indiana

Kitchen Before:

This was a bank-owned home with holes in every single wall and most fixtures removed. Every single door had been damaged and huge wall separated the living and kitchen spaces. Well... not for long.....

Kitchen After:

Hello Beautiful!    All new stainless steel appliances, cabinets, floors, wall, trim countertops, paint and high end fixtures. What a difference! We knocked down a wall too! Paint Color; Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter  Mirror: IKEA Mongstad Vase: IKEA Bladet  Flooring: Menards Tile.

Our Favorite New Paint from Benjamin Moore: Revere Pewter!

We've started using the perfect shade a grey for our flip houses:

Revere Pewter!

One thing to consider when using this shade of grey is the lighting source that you use. Light bulbs that make this color really pop are Natural Daylight CFL bulbs. It can really make a difference. I can always tell when another type of bulb is used.. the Revere Pewter tends to look a little more beige/pink...eeek!
Here is another look under Natural daylight bulbs:

This is the perfect neutral gray, and we love the way it pulls all the tile and other colors together.
What do you think?

New Couches are on their way!!!!!!

After many days of searching and sitting on over 100 couches... we've finally chosen our favorites!
I was able to find a pic of the one we are putting in the living room. Yay!!!!!!

It is super dark charcoal and it is going to be so much fun to decorate with other pillows .. ( I'm not too thrilled with the icky ones that accessorize it in the store.)

Modern Gray Living room with Behr Paint

Here are some before and after shots of our living room transformation. Happy to be able to use my photography soft box lights to help illuminate our nightly painting parties. ; )

We used Behr flat paint in Natural gray and Fashion Gray. I loved the look of the dark grays I saw on Pinterest. I went to Home Depot just to get these colors.

We're pretty happy with the results so far. Then again, anything is better than cream. ha.

Before: Ugly cream wall

After: nice Behr Fashion Gray.. yay!
